About UoNCC RideBase
This site was designed as a pet project, and became useful after Strava changed its free account terms.
It was originally based on Jürgen Berkemeier's excellent "GPXViewer" available at https://www.j-berkemeier.de/ , and I thank him for the original scripts and assistance.
Recent updates and some significant work now means that the site content is wholly under my control.
Simply put, it's a GPX-sharing site with multi-parameter search capability.
Users can find a ride to suit their needs at the time and download a custom GPX file for use on all cycle computers.
It depends on users' help by uploading their favourite ride files which can then be downloaded by other users.
Your connection to this site is secure so that any data you enter cannot be seen by 3rd parties between your computer and the server. Passwords are secured with SHA-2 256 bit encryption.
The site is under constant development and updates and upgrades are frequent. Suggestions are always welcome - that's where the CafeRendezvous page came from!
